It Suddenly Hit Me...

I started Nguyen Food Stall to document my journey of reconnecting with my Vietnamese heritage through cooking the dishes I grew up loving. At a Lunar New Year gathering, it hit me: these recipes, these flavors, and these memories could one day be lost. That realization inspired me to preserve and share them with the world.

While you’ll find plenty of cherished family recipes here, you’ll also discover modern, playful twists that reflect my perspective as a Canadian and a Third Culture Kid. This blend of tradition and creativity is where I find the most joy—exploring, experimenting, and staying curious in the kitchen.

I started Nguyen Food Stall to preserve and share my Vietnamese culture.
